This page shows my experimental work in basketry.

The work stems from the on-line course called ‘Form to Freedom - Weaving for Fibre Sculpture’ run in 2023 by Harriet Goodall, an artist based in Australia. Harriet is carefully and respectfully passing on these ancient weaving techniques learned first hand from indigenous weavers across the world.

The materials that I am using at the moment are household string of various types, copper wire salvaged from a recent plumbing job and natural materials from our wild garden.
