My work broadly considers the value of the ordinary now that it is increasingly rare.
How does our treatment of the natural environment affect our human lives? I have many more questions than answers and I express these in paintings, drawings, installation, sculpture, printing, knitting and textile work.
The website logo is an image of my whimsical ‘muse and collaborator’, Flora, Goddess of Spring, protector of growing things. ‘Flora di Stabiae’ was discovered in the ruins of Pompeii and can be seen in the National Archeological Museum of Naples.
The bordoodle, on the other hand, is a more terrestrial influence. Not quite the studio dog I’d dreamt of but getting there.
